Chairman's recent engagements

The Chairman, John Williams, has been busy over the past two months, meeting tourism businesses, public sector partners and Westminster politicians. Here is a list of John's engagements for April and May:
JOHN WILLIAMS: external engagements May 1 to June 30 2009
May 6: Visit to Hastings and Bexhill with Mark Dowling, briefing on Hastings redevelopment with SEEDA Seaspace team and Hastings BC; attended Hastings Business Lunch with Alan Grieve, CEO Jerwood Foundation, and met senior team at the de la Warr Pavilion; brief on redevelopment from Rother DC team.
May 7-8: Joint TSE-Kent workshop to develop new, closer and more effective ways of working together.
May 18: City of Oxford with Nigel Smith; meeting to discuss possible county-wide DMO: Cllr Bob Price, Leader of the Council, Cllr Colin Cook, Tourism lead, Mel Barrett, Deputy CEO, Michael Crofton-Briggs, Colin Price, City Council.
May 21: Speech and attendance at Surrey members’ day, Sandown Park racecourse.
May 27: Briefing at Saltmarsh PR with MB: Geoff Saltmarsh and Susie Tempest.
June 9: Juliana Delaney, Continuum and VisitKent board; Roger Ching, Portsmouth City Council; Robert Bruce, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with MB.
June 11: Attended Welcome Host training course and sat City and Guilds, Fareham
June 25: Tobias Ellwood MP, Folkestone. Visit Kent meeting attended by MB, Sandra Matthews-Marsh and Fran Warrington.
June 29: Tobias Ellwood MP: TSE briefing at Westminster, with MB and PC.
June 30: Attending re-opening of Winchester TIC as guest of WCC.
