A Charter for Destination Management
The publication of the Place Making Charter is a significant acheivement for the Partners For Enlgand forum.
The Place Making Charter is a tool for destination managers. It advises destination managers on what their roles and responsibilities should be in the pursuit to achieve excellent destination management.
The five principles of the charter are to:

Completing the Charter
A blank template to assist you in completing your Local Authority's charter can be downloaded here.
Many local authorities have begun to complete their charters. The feedback from those who have has been positive. Completing the charter has proven to be a positive exercise allowing the authority to develop a more integrated approach to tourism and gaining board level approval.

Next Steps
The completed charters will be collected and used for intelligence gathering and comparative purposes by the regional representatives. In the South East this will be Tourism South East. If possible could all Destination Managers forward their completed charters to Daniel Humphreys.
