Hampshire Tourism takes the South East Oscars by storm!

Hampshire Tourism takes the South East Oscars by storm!

Hampshire Tourism has stolen the show by being the county with the most award winning tourism products in the South East - with 4 winners, 5 runners up and 2 highly commended products recognised by the Tourism South East (TSE) Tourism ExSEllence Awards.

TSE are holding a Hampshire Members' Day on Tuesday 8 November at Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower in Gosport - itself one of the winners. The day gives TSE members the chance to network, receive information and advice on hot tourism topics and discuss key successes in Hampshire. It also gives award winners the chance to celebrate their triumphs with the rest of their sub region.

Nicola Horsey, Chair of Hampshire Tourism says, "I am delighted that so many of the Tourism ExSEllence Award winners come from Hampshire. I always knew we had a range of outstanding tourism products in this county and now it has been confirmed. We wish our winners good luck in the national Enjoy England Excellence Awards."

As well as celebrating with a glass of local beer provided by the 'Oakleaf Brewing Company' members will be hearing valuable presentations including how Hampshire is maximising the renewed interest in Jane Austen and her life in Hampshire since the recent release of the 'Pride and Prejudice' film .Other hot topics on the agenda are Hampshire's policy on brown and white tourism signage and how the tourism industry can respond to anti-social behaviour.

Attendees can also learn of a new software product, sponsored by TSE, which enables even the smallest accommodation provider to obtain secure business on line from all over the world.
