Frequently Asked Questions
I don't know what training my staff need. Can you help?
We can offer an individual training needs analysis which will help identify what training needs you have. Following this we will discuss your training needs and possible options. Contact us to arrange your training needs analysis.
I want a course or some training that isn't listed. What should I do?
Contact us specifying the course or training you are interested in. Wherever possible we will endeavour to offer the course you need.
Are courses only available on these dates?
No, if you contact us we may be able to run a customised course on the dates that you require for the number of people you need to train.
I am a small business and don't have money to pay for training. Are there any subsidies available?
Sometimes we have specific subsidised programmes such as the 'Fresh Skills for Chefs' project or e-marketing courses. There are also government initiatives such as Train to Gain which have financial benefits. For more information contact us - we will always try to find you a cost effective way of meeting your training needs.
What is Train to Gain?
Train to Gain is a Government initiative funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to help employers improve the skills of their staff by offering free training and wage compensation in certain circumstances.
If your employees are over 19 years old and do not have a Level 2 qualification (5 GCSEs at Grades A-C or equivalent), then your staff could work towards a nationally recognised NVQ 2 for free. There might also be opportunities for wage compensation for time employees are away from work and funding to improve literacy, numeracy and English language skills. For more details visit the Train to Gain website or contact us to discuss your business needs.
